Synopsis:

WILL KEENO’S MONKEY BUSINESS GET HIM IN TROUBLE?
Keeno is a mischievous little monkey, and his best friend Ernest is a clever and responsible young elephant. One day Keeno spots a big, shiny banana tree, but it is far away—all the way on the other side of the river of their jungle home—and his parents have told him never to cross the river without an adult. Ernest reminds him of this, but Keeno decides to cross anyway. When he finds himself in great danger, he must rely on his friend Ernest to rescue him! In the end, Keeno learns two very valuable lessons about friendship and following family rules.

About the Author: Maggie van Galen grew up in Northern Michigan listening to her father’s stories, imagining the characters, being transported to the locations, and engaging in the plots. Maggie discovered that she too had the creativity to put her thoughts to paper, and always used writing as a sort of escapism. After years of telling stories to her boys and their friends, Maggie decided to share them with the world. She truly hopes that you enjoy them too! Maggie lives with her husband and two beautiful boys on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

food for thought

So have  you ever sat down at a restaurant  or made a meal and thought wow that would be a great photo or  those colors look so good together,  and really wanted to take pictures of the food rather then eat it? WELL I HAVE! but of course my friends or family look at me and go really we are eating .  I love being looking at pictures and then being like  wow I am want to eat that like now..  Well for now here is some of my  food photography thanks to  North Shore Community College Culinary  students and staff.

1/17/12 alittle about me :)

So today is my first time doing a blog. And I am still figuring out how it all works. Well for the for the people who do not know who I am let me introduce myself, my name is Stephanie Naffah.  I am a photographer. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. I love taking photographs and capturing moments.  My  dad an artist himself is a constant influence on my work. He is always shared great knowledge and given me great encouragement. The feeling of developing and printing everything on my own in the darkroom is over whelming good. For me photography is highly enjoyable. While doing photography, I am able to escape from reality. When I get my hands on a camera, I am in “Stephanie’s world”. Stephanie’s word is when I am 110% focused on my work; nothing else matters or has my attention. Photography has given me greater self-confidence. Creating working and getting such positive feedback is great feeling.  I enjoy capturing memories as well creating memories. Every photo has a story to it. I love watching people’s different reactions to photographs. I fully enjoy taking photos of subjects people would take photos of and also subjects that may not get a lot of attention. A landmark may be a popular photography opportunity but, behind the photograph there is also a message that drew the photographer take that photograph.  By taking photographs of subjects that are usually ignored, one can shine a light on something different and unique. Through photography, I can express who I am. Many times photography has helped me learn life’s lessons.  For example, when I mess up photography or it does not come out the way I want it to. I do not get mad or say it is a bad picture. I see it as a learning tool. I have to figure out what I did wrong, so I can fix it and  do it correctly.  Now that a basically just gave you  my  artist statement. I  recently graduated from  M.C.L.A with a degree in Arts Management.   I am always looking for an excuse to go on a photography adventure and take pictures.  One thing I forgot all the photos you see are for sale so you are interested let me know :)

I will leave you for now with some from  Plum Island
